Straight to Library

HELLO. It's rare to see me put entry two days in row, except when it was WC months ago. Hahaha.

I just look back at my entries until World Cup madness back then, and there were a lot of captures of my lastFM, it's bit shocking. Because, you know what, I only got 70 artists back in July and now I got 100. What I've done?! 30 artists... it must be so random like, I was picked up tracks from fashion ads and runways and some old bands, one hit wonder... hahaha. Well, I guess it's fine even tough I quite principal to not adding one track only and adding one full album instead. It feels guilty if you only listen to one song from an artist, like you don't quite appreciate their works. But now maybe I will applied it to like.. very good artist only. Yea, like The Cure!! hahaha yes. Love their Boys Don't Cry album. Yummy yummy post punk. I'll search more post punk when it's holiday. YEP.

Today's like the other days, keep looking at fashion spot's thread hahaha. And got bored so I wanna talk about good music. Or, good song, yea. People can blabbered about their knowledge or over the top smart thoughts about good music. Which is, very relative between people. For me, good music is feel clicked since the first time you hear it. Like... love at first sound. Hahaha I guess it's quite it.

So, today I'll list some of my "love at first sound"s. I will concentrate on some my new entries on library even it's not impossible to include the old ones when I run out of idea. Hahaha

Killing an Arab - The Cure
The Cure really wrote many great songs. I'm sad because me, living in my generation, grow up listen to their two songs only, Friday I'm in Love and Boys Don't Cry. Hahaha. Ok, I watched Killing an Arab on youtube first, and it's my instant fave because the guitar sounds, and the rhythm. It's FLAWLESS. You know FLAWLESS? I never used flawless to describe song before. I guess I like guitar sounds that fast.. melodic.. sophisticated... I can't really put it in words. And it sounds Arabic at the same time. See, I guess musicians from that certain era express their thoughts through music perfectly. Their music speaks its message. You rarely find this kind of things today. See, how many people will write about a play or scene from a book in their songs?. Today's musicians are less intellectual. Oh God, I said that. Hahaha

Spaceman - The Killers
Somebody told me that you had a boyfriend... or girlfriend... or I don't know. Forget about that song. The Killers write another song called Spaceman. Yep. Before one of my friend talk about The Killers, being a big big fans he was, I never considered The Killers to enter my library. I know The Killers as "one of that eyeliner guys-band". Back in 2000s there are a lot band sound like this, isn't it. But yeah, I'm just curious why my friend so in love with The Killers, I search them down on youtube and find word SPACEMAN. No doubt, I hit it right away. It's really a good catchy and stylish song. I'm falling in love, DEEPLY. I can spend 30mins only to hear the same song. But sadly, it's the only song from The Killers that I found love in to.

Ghosts - Ladytron
Introducing... Ladytron. Hehehe... I watched Josh Beech in Levis ad, and this song was its background song. When I saw the music credit I was just like "I should have it". I said it a lot these days that I want something that feels so "runway". Ghosts is a mysterious song first time you hear it. It's detached (look I learn new word from fashion... hahaha) and... fashion..

Plug In Baby - Muse
Again, it's the guitar sounds.. quite alike Killing an Arab, I will pretty much dercribe it with same words... fast, melodic, sophisticated. Ok, I don't know anything about music so I'm afraid if I went too far I will sound ridiculous. So I guess fast melodic and sophisticated just enough. I heard this song first time when my friend did karaoke for this and I was like "What sound is that???!"

Planet Earth - Duran Duran
Should I write some intros? hahaha, I guess it's not necessary. I watch Duran Duran in VH1 and this was the first song I listened. Just love Nick's synthesizer riffs (can we said riff for synth? or it's just for guitar?). And of course the bass beneath it, and the bop bop bop... It's SEXY. And the time when they said "Planet Earth Planet Earth Planet Earth" in bridge, then the sound of JT's bass came across? that's nuts. Sexiest song ever. That's the beginning for me to got into new wave.

Man Like Creatures - Straightener
I found them in AKG's similar artist. Yes, it's LastFM fault again. I like this song... I don't know, what we called this song's genre... indie?. Ohhh I hate indie as genre because it's weird, indie is way of act, genre is like... rock, punk, jazz, blues. Indie musicians plays garage or punk or something... why indie should be a genre? I guess it's already too many fusions and genre itself became blurred... well yea.
Check out that Straightener band. Their latest album "Creatures" is worth to try. Even it's not great. But... Man Like Creatures is great. Hahaha... apa deh gw bingung sendiri.

And this is my lastFM latest look

Maybe this is the last time where J in no.1 spot. Hahaha. Let's enjoy it for a moment.
